Spring is in the Air

The weather, at least here in good ol’ Illinois, is beginning to creep up into the mid 60s, and with this newfound warmth comes an overwhelming need for me to switch up my wardrobe. A couple weeks ago, I hit my local mall and picked up a few items that I believe should be in your closets, too, this spring.

My first stop on this trip was Forever 21, my all-time favorite place to shop. Here, I found the most AMAZING item that’s a perfect mix of girly and grunge: a flannel shirt dress! http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=f21&Category=dress_shirt&ProductID=2000122421&VariantID=

Next, I picked up this piece– a super cute and girly (but not too girly) floral dress. I love this piece so much because it has the potential to be worn alone, or dressed up/down with just a few accessories. http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?br=F21&category=DRESS&productid=2000116986

The third item I purchased was an all-black sleeveless knit dress. From the front, this dress has a casual throw-on-and-go look to it, but the back has a large cut out that really takes it up a notch and will allow this little black dress to be worn in multiple ways and for multiple occasions. http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?br=F21&category=DRESS&productid=2000099081

The last item I picked up from Forever 21 on this particular trip was, you guessed it, another dress– a nautical-striped shift dress, to be exact. This piece really called to the more “girly” side of my style, but I can’t wait to figure out how I can give it a bit more edge. http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?br=F21&category=DRESS&productid=2000117603

After leaving the mall with my shopping bags full of ADORABLE dresses, I stopped by ROSS to see what kind of spring deals I could find there. I was a bit pressed for time so I didn’t really find much during this trip (BOO), but I did find a super cute black-and-white cropped muscle tee. I can’t wait to wear this with a pair of high-waist denim jeans or shorts! (Sorry I couldn’t find a link 😦 )

Overall, I would say this was a pretty successful afternoon shopping trip. Next, I can’t wait to pick up a few new spring accessories!
